Cell-based assay kits
The cell-based assays bring together a set of kits based on the use of living cells.
These kits are used to study different aspects of cellular behavior (cell cycle progression, migration and invasion) and to measure the content of key cell components that are commonly used to monitor the health of cells in culture and their response to various stimuli (migration inducers, drugs against cell cycle arrest, cholesterol transport inhibitors, ...).
The cell-based assays provide a more accurate representation of actual conditions because the study is done directly on living cells. These kits differ from more traditional enzyme or immunoassay kits. Indeed, although they require more manipulations than traditional assay kits, they are incredibly versatile and can be designed to measure virtually any cellular or biochemical function. Use the right cells and the right markers, and you can get the right data.
