Phytopathology reagents
Phytopathology is the study of plant diseases caused by pathogens (infectious organisms) and environmental conditions (physiological factors). Organisms that cause infectious diseases include fungi, oomycetes, bacteria, viruses, viroids, virus-like organisms, phytoplasmas, protozoa, nematodes and parasites. Pathogenic organisms do not include ectoparasites such as insects, mites, vertebrates or other parasites that harm plant health by eating plant tissue. Plant pathology also includes the study of pathogen identification, disease etiology, disease cycles, economic impacts, epidemiology of plant diseases, plant disease resistance, disease incidence in humans and animals, pathosystem genetics and plant disease management.
We offer a range of media for plant pathology but also the components of these media separately so that you can compose your media yourself.
