Immunohistology
Immunohistology (IH) is a histology technique aimed at visualizing a given protein in a tissue. There is also a derived technique, immunocytology (IC) which has the same principle but aims to locate a given protein in isolated cells.
The principle of immunohistology is based on the recognition of an antigen by a specific antibody and the revelation of this antigen-antibody complex either by a chemical reaction (IHC immunohistochemistry) using an enzyme and its substrate, or by using a fluorescent secondary antibody (IF immunofluorescence)
It is possible to locate a single protein (single labeling) or several proteins on the same tissue section (multiple labeling).
We offer a wide range of custom services in immunohistology:
- Preparations and inclusion of samples (paraffin or OCT)
- Sections of frozen and paraffin samples
- Slide preparation
- Histological staining
